File an illegal dumping report

Reports publish immediately and permanently, are released into the public domain under CC0, and are not forwarded to any agency. Don't include personal info you wouldn't want shared.

What belongs here

Dumped material on public land — household garbage, construction debris, furniture and appliances, tires, drums, burn piles, abandoned camps, a dumped vehicle. Not scattered litter, an overflowing public bin, a maintenance problem, or anything on private property.

Stop and call first if the material is hazardous — National Response Center 1-800-424-8802 — or if dumping is happening right now (911). Don't confront anyone to get a photo.

Location and camera metadata are stripped from the photo before upload — the pin below is the only location published.

Location

Three ways to set it: the locate button above, tapping the map, or typing the coordinates below. With the map focused, arrow keys pan and Enter drops the pin at the centre.

Severity

Minor small litter · Moderate a visible dumpsite · Severe truckload-scale or environmental damage · Hazardous chemicals, drums, sharps, asbestos — call the NRC first and don't handle it.
